Chan Marshall, performing as Cat Power, marks the 20th anniversary of her 2006 album The Greatest by performing the album in full. The record was made in Memphis with guitarist and songwriter Mabon “Teenie” Hodges, bassist Leroy “Flick” Hodges and other Memphis musicians, drawing on the rhythmic sound associated with ’70s Hi Records. Its music combines Marshall’s smoky vocals and emotionally direct songwriting with horns, funky strings and smooth backing vocals. Songs highlighted include “Lived in Bars” and the title track. Marshall and her band also released the EP Redux earlier in 2026, featuring a new recording of “Could We” and covers of Prince and James Brown.
