Umberto Clerici conducts the Australian Youth Orchestra in Respighi’s complete Roman Trilogy: Fountains of Rome, Pines of Rome and Roman Festivals. Joshua Batty, former Principal Flute of the Sydney Symphony Orchestra, joins as soloist for the world premiere of Harry Sdraulig’s Flute Concerto. The programme brings together Respighi’s orchestral portraits of Rome with Sdraulig’s new concerto, performed by young musicians selected from across Australia.
