Oud player and composer Yasamin Shahhosseini presents an intimate programme rooted in Persian classical and Dastgāh music. The repertoire moves through Segah—Pishdaramad Segah, an improvisation in Segah and Zarbi Segah—before turning to Nava with Nava Zarbi/Intro, Improvisation/Chaharmezrab Nava and Reng Nava. Shahhosseini developed her individual approach to the oud through long practice and her connection with Persian classical traditions. Her 2015 solo album, Gahan, featured her own compositions in Persian Dastgāh music.
