The trio’s live catalogue includes “Only Love Can Break Your Heart”, “Spring”, “Nothing Can Stop Us”, “You’re In A Bad Way”, “He’s On the Phone” and “Wood Cabin”. Formed in 1990 by Bob Stanley and Pete Wiggs, the group were completed by vocalist Sarah Cracknell in 1991. Their debut single was a cover of Neil Young’s “Only Love Can Break Your Heart”; Cracknell first appeared with the group on “Nothing Can Stop Us”, and Foxbase Alpha received a Mercury Prize nomination. Their second album, So Tough, reached the UK Top 10, and in 1994 the band became the first to be broadcast live from Glastonbury Festival.
