An Evening with CAKE presents two full sets drawn from the band’s catalogue. The programme names “The Distance,” “Short Skirt/Long Jacket,” “Never There,” “Frank Sinatra,” and “I Will Survive” among the expected favourites. CAKE blend rock, funk, country, folk and pop, and are completing a ninth studio album due in 2027; it will include “Billionaire in Space,” a song first debuted in a Texas Public Radio session. The group write and record in a solar-powered Sacramento studio and give away a native tree sapling at each headline show through the CAKE Forest initiative.
