The Australian Ballet presents an interactive Storytime Ballet adaptation of Cinderella for children aged three and over. An engaging narrator guides the fairytale of the mistreated maiden who, aided by her fairy godmother, becomes a princess for the ball. The production is choreographed and produced by David McAllister, with music from Sergei Prokofiev’s Cinderella, Op. 87, performed by Orchestra Victoria under conductor Jonathan Lo. The work also features costume design by Louisa Fitzgerald, set design by Ishan Vivekanantham, original lighting design by Jon Buswell and illusion design by Lee Cohen. The 55-minute format encourages young audiences to dress in ballet-inspired outfits and dance from their seats.
