A playful, hands-on workshop in which participants make rosettes and badges as expressions of celebration and personal storytelling. Drawing on traditions of adornment and award culture, it reimagines these forms as personal, humorous, heartfelt and adorable. Using ribbons, textiles and found materials, participants learn simple techniques for constructing layered rosettes and use a badge-making machine to create collaged buttons. The session welcomes celebrations of achievements as well as beautifully ordinary occasions.
