The Australian Ballet presents an interactive Storytime Ballet adaptation of Cinderella for children aged three and over. An engaging narrator leads the under-an-hour performance as Cinderella, mistreated by her stepmother and stepsisters, is transformed by her fairy godmother for the ball, with a gown and glass slippers. Children are encouraged to dress in ballet-inspired outfits and dance from their seats.

Former Australian Ballet Artistic Director David McAllister provides the choreography and production. The score is Sergei Prokofiev’s Cinderella, Op. 87, performed by Orchestra Victoria under Jonathan Lo. Louisa Fitzgerald designed the costumes, Ishan Vivekanantham the set, Jon Buswell the original lighting, and Lee Cohen the illusions. The original 2023 sets and costumes were developed with the Victorian College of the Arts’ Master of Design and Production.
