The Australian Ballet presents an interactive Storytime Ballet adaptation of Cinderella for children aged three and over. The story follows Cinderella, who is made to serve her stepmother and stepsisters until her fairy godmother transforms her for the ball, where she finds true love. Former Australian Ballet Artistic Director David McAllister choreographs and produces the work, with Sergei Prokofiev’s Cinderella, Op. 87, performed by Orchestra Victoria under Jonathan Lo. An engaging narrator leads the under-an-hour performance, and children are encouraged to dress in ballet-inspired outfits and dance from their seats. Designs include costumes by Louisa Fitzgerald, sets by Ishan Vivekanantham, original lighting by Jon Buswell, and illusions by Lee Cohen.
