American singer-songwriter Medium Build (Nick Carpenter) brings the King of Having Fun on Tour to Australia in January 2027, performing material from his sixth studio album, King of Having Fun, live for the first time. The album follows 2024’s Country and was recorded live in the studio with Carpenter’s friends and collaborators. Its songs draw on indie, lo-fi and country influences while adding rock-and-roll energy, soaring hooks and a broader sound. The programme frames the record around self-reflection, recovery, rebuilding, clarity, gratitude and optimism, retaining the emotional honesty of his earlier work.
