From DIY house shows and warehouse raves to music festivals and everything in-between, the best moments happen when we gather.

As artists in New Zealand's independent music scene, we've been involved in performing and sharing creativity for years.

But after playing hundreds of parties, organising events, and visiting venues across Australasia, we've found ourselves disillusioned by the live events sharing ecosystem. With no singular space connecting ticketing, event discovery, and social sharing, we've been forced to use a handful of platforms that felt impersonal.

We craved a digital space that mirrored our own community in the "real world", one that was warm, inviting, and connective.

That's why we created Gather: a space where human connection thrives. Where it's easier to discover the events that excite you, find friends, and build community.

We want to depend on each other for fun, not rely on algorithms operated by social media giants. We want to stop scrolling and start creating more, to feel connected and find new friends that feel like home. Because stronger communities nurture happier people and lead to more sustainable creative lives.
