Beta Rivellino presents: 'FROM GIRLHOOD' - A tribute to Brazilian Divas

Brazilian singer-songwriter Beta Rivellino presents a musical journey through some of the women who shaped her artistic voice.

Every artist has a beginning. For Beta Rivellino, it began by listening to extraordinary women.

Growing up in Brazil, she was inspired by iconic voices such as Elis Regina, Rita Lee, Astrud Gilberto, Leny Andrade, Marisa Monte. Later, after living in several countries across different continents, her musical world expanded through artists including Barbra Streisand, Nina Simone, Norah Jones, Oleta Adams, Zaz, among so many other female singers and composers.

From Girlhood is a deeply personal show that weaves together Brazilian music, jazz, and international songwriting through some of the songs that accompanied her life.

The performance also introduces Beta's own compositions — Soltei Minha Voz (I Found My Voice), Desde Menina (From Girlhood), Inteira e Dona de Mim (Whole and Truly my Own) — revealing the natural evolution from listener to interpreter, and finally to songwriter.

Together with her a trio of amazing musicians, celebrating the women whose music crossed borders, generations, and cultures. From Girlhood is more than a show. It is a story about finding your own voice by first listening to others.
