Internationally acclaimed bassist and vocalist Nicki Parrott brings together some of her favourite musical friends for an evening of great songs, swinging jazz and the kind of musical conversation that can only happen between players who know how to listen.

Drawing from the Great American Songbook, jazz classics, Brazilian favourites and a few unexpected gems, Nicki moves effortlessly between singer, storyteller and bassist — leaving plenty of room for the personalities around her to shine.

Mark Fitzgibbon is considered one of the heavyweights in Australia. Born into one of Australia's most adored musical families, Mark’s music has been an essential part of his life, and he shares it with the very best of musical friends onstage. Masterful at turning the knowledge that comes with that into his own original compositions as well as his unassuming nature and seemingly effortless approach as a world class accompanist.

Danny Fischer is one of the most in demand and highly sought after jazz drummers and educators currently working in Australia. There is scarcely a jazz musician in Australia that Danny has not worked with at one time or another. He continues to perform and record with many of Australia’s top improvising musicians and is also a highly passionate drum teacher/educator/historian and devoted cat lover.

Nicki Parrott is an internationally acclaimed bassist and vocalist whose career has taken her from her native Australia to the world’s great jazz stages. After moving to New York in 1994, she became a fixture on the scene and spent more than a decade performing alongside legendary guitarist Les Paul at the Iridium Jazz Club. Nicki has performed with artists including Paul McCartney, Michel Legrand, Clark Terry, Randy Brecker, John Pizzarelli, Dick Hyman, Ken Peplowski, Scott Hamilton and Houston Person. Equally at home as a bassist, vocalist and bandleader, she has recorded extensively, toured internationally and earned numerous accolades for her albums, while retaining the warmth, swing and effortless musicality that have become her trademark.
