Perched high on Mount George, enjoy breathtaking 270° views across the Tamar River, Tamar Valley and Bass Strait while indulging in a premium festive grazing buffet, gourmet BBQ feast and delicious dessert bites showcasing the best of Tasmania.
Arrive from 12.30pm to enjoy your welcome Christmas drink before settling in for a relaxed afternoon with family and friends.
Most seating is on the lawn, so bring your picnic blanket or low-backed chairs. A limited number of Café Bar tables are available by reservation. Dining is buffet style, with drinks available to purchase from our fully licensed Café Bar.

Tickets
Your ticket includes exclusive event entry, one welcome Christmas drink*, a premium Tasmanian festive grazing buffet, gourmet BBQ feast and dessert bites.
Additional beverages are available for purchase from our fully licensed Café Bar.
Humanitix booking fees apply.
Tickets are non-refundable except where required by law or in accordance with Humanitix's Terms of Service.
Food & Beverage
Strictly no BYO food or drinks.
Only food and beverages supplied by or purchased from The George Tasmania may be consumed onsite.
Dining is buffet style. Buffet service is available during the advertised serving period only.
Please advise any dietary requirements when booking. While we'll do our best to accommodate reasonable requests with advance notice, we cannot guarantee an allergen-free environment.
Seating
The majority of guest seating is on the lawn.
Guests are encouraged to bring picnic blankets or low-backed chairs.
A limited number of Café Bar tables are available and must be reserved in advance.
Reserved Café Bar tables not occupied within 30 minutes of the advertised commencement time may be released to other guests.
There is no table service.
Beverage Service
All beverages are available from our fully licensed Café Bar.
Guests are welcome to pre-order a bottle of House of Arras sparkling, which will be chilled and ready on arrival.
Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) laws apply at all times.
Valid photo identification may be requested.
Alcohol will not be served to anyone under 18 years of age or to intoxicated persons.
Children & Pets
Children must remain under the supervision of a responsible adult at all times.
Well-behaved dogs are welcome but must remain on a lead and under effective control.
Owners are responsible for cleaning up after their pets and ensuring they do not disturb other guests or local wildlife.
Weather, Venue & Natural Environment
This is an outdoor event and will proceed in most weather conditions.
In the event of severe weather or circumstances beyond our control, The George Tasmania reserves the right to postpone, relocate or cancel the event. Ticket holders will be notified of any changes as soon as practicable.
The George Tasmania is located within a natural coastal bush setting. Weather conditions can change quickly, so guests are encouraged to dress appropriately and bring a light jacket.
The property includes natural lawn areas and uneven ground. Please wear suitable footwear and take care when moving around the venue.
🦘 We're sharing the lawn with the locals! Our resident wallabies love Mount George as much as we do. While we'll thoroughly prepare the lawns before the event, this is a natural bush environment and the occasional wallaby dropping may remain. We appreciate your understanding and encourage guests to take care when walking around the property and choosing a spot for picnic blankets or chairs.
Native wildlife may be present throughout the property. Please respect the environment and do not feed or disturb wildlife.
Photography & Media
Photography and video may be taken during the event for promotional and marketing purposes by The George Tasmania.
If you would prefer not to appear in event photography or video, please advise a member of our team upon arrival.
Guest Conduct
Please respect fellow guests, staff, neighbouring properties and the natural environment.
Follow all reasonable directions from event staff.
Management reserves the right to refuse entry or remove any person behaving in a disruptive, aggressive, unsafe or intoxicated manner without refund.
Liability
Guests attend the event at their own risk.
To the extent permitted by law, The George Tasmania accepts no responsibility for loss, theft or damage to personal property, or injury sustained while attending the event, except where caused by our negligence.
Accessibility
Accessible parking is available. Please contact us before the event if you have mobility or accessibility requirements so we can assist where possible.
