Dermot Kennedy brings songs from his album The Weight of the Woods, including “Honest,” “Funeral,” and “Refuge.” The fourteen-track record draws its poetry, music, energy and strength from Ireland, and was largely written and recorded near Kennedy’s rural Irish home with collaborator Gabe Simon; further material was recorded in Nashville. Kennedy’s catalogue also includes his debut album Without Fear, 2022’s Sonder, and the 2024 EP I’ve told the trees everything.
