Learn to create abstract collages using a monochromatic palette. Emily, your tutor, will share her process by teaching how to start building a stock of monochromatic pattern for use in your artwork.

In this two day workshop we will

Develop different mark making techniques

Learn how to produce texture and detail with ink, paint and paper

Explore the use of repetition, detail and texture to create an artwork with depth and interest

Learn techniques including tonal studies, mark making with different materials, and different collage techniques

By the end of the workshop you will create 5 different artworks; 4 small still life works from abstract forms, and a larger abstract collage artwork.

This course is for adults of all levels.

Materials are supplied and feel free to bring your own special bits and bobs to include and or share.

This two day workshop runs over Saturday & Sunday, 14 & 15 Nov, 10am - 4pm.

Minimum age to attend this workshop is 16 years.

Thirty minute lunch - bring a water bottle and packed lunch to enjoy in the historic Inverlochy or explore the local cafes in Te Aro.
