Intermediate Wheel Throwing | Term 4

For those potters experienced in wheel throwing and who want to go to the next level: learn how to produce cylinders, bowls and lidded spheres.

The 8 week course is divided into blocks concentrating on shape and increasing size (from 1kg, 2kg and 3kg). The focus will be on cylinders for the first block, bowls for the second block and the final block will be spheres and lids.

One piece will be selected for firing from each block of work.

Equipment needed: small mirror, enclosed footwear and an apron.

Note: that you will be using more clay aside from the block included in the course fee.

About: The Cooroy Butter Factory Pottery Studio is a community space for potters of all skill levels.
