You're Invited to the Hurstbridge Premiere of Will Williamson's Surrender Be Damned!

Roll out the red carpet and join us for a very special community screening of Surrender Be Damned—an original Australian movie musical inspired by the life of Ned Kelly and proudly brought to life by The Bridge Collective and directed by Will Williamson.

Following its successful premiere at the Swanpool Cinema, we're excited to bring the film home to Hurstbridge and celebrate with the community that helped make it all possible.

The evening will begin with red carpet photos, so come dressed in your Hollywood finest and strike a pose with the stars of the film! We'll then enjoy warming cups of homemade soup and fresh bread, raise a glass of bubbles to celebrate the cast and crew, and hear a short presentation from Allwood historian David Kerrigan, who will share the fascinating connections between Victoria's bushranger history and Hurstbridge before the screening begins.

Over the past year, volunteers aged four to over eighty have worked together to bring this remarkable production to life. From rehearsals and costumes to filming at Gulf Station, Surrender Be Damned is a celebration of creativity, community spirit and the power of local storytelling.
