Reclaim
Sunday 27 September
A Movement Meditation exploring the parts of ourselves we may have lost, quietened or given away. Through guided movement, music and connection, Reclaim invites you to reconnect with your body, instinct and expression, and take up space as your whole self.
You’re welcome exactly as you are.
Our Movement Meditations are spaces to slow down, reconnect with yourself and explore movement without expectation or performance.
We begin with guided breathing and body relaxation, gently bringing awareness into the body and senses. From there, we move into guided movement exploration, using music and live verbal cues to invite connection, expression, feeling and curiosity (maybe even a good ‘boogie’).
Everything is an invitation, not an instruction to perform. There is no right or wrong way to move, and you are always welcome to adapt, pause or rest.
Movement & Accessibility:
Our sessions include movement on the floor and through the space, with opportunities to explore different levels, qualities and ranges of movement.
We welcome different movement abilities and can adapt the experience where possible. Please let us know about any movement or accessibility requirements when booking, so we can thoughtfully prepare the space and support you.
The workshop is guided through music and live verbal cues. At this stage, we are unfortunately unable to provide Auslan interpretation. If you are Deaf or hard of hearing, please bring any personal hearing aids or assistive devices that help you access verbal guidance.
Arrival
Please arrive at 10:00am to allow yourself time to settle in, get comfortable and connect with the space.
The workshop will begin at 10:10am.
What to bring
A journal, if you'd like to reflect or write
A water bottle
A cushion or bolster if you'd like additional support during seated or floor-based moments
A drinking vessel for tea
What to wear
Wear comfortable, stretchy layers that allow you to move with ease.
Shoes are not worn on the wooden floor, so you'll be moving barefoot or in whatever alternative footwear you have discussed with us beforehand.
Closing
We close each session gently, with warm tea, grounding and connection, a chance to come back together before heading back into the world.
Please note: As we prepare the space and experience specifically for those attending, tickets cannot be purchased at the door.
Come as you are. There is nothing you need to be able to do.
Collectively, we bring over 20 years of teaching movement, dance, and holding creative space, plus a decade of dedicated breathwork practice. This space is held with experience, care, and a deep trust in the body's own wisdom.
