Love. Arguably life’s greatest muse of all time.
It’s explored extensively in art and literature throughout history, is cinematography’s covert protagonist, and it outlines many, many lyrics of music today.
Painted as a stirrer of calm and chaos.
Personified as a bringer of joy, and reaper of sadness.
Depicted as the holy grail of human experience, yet also as a feeling inherent within us.
Declared in song as the answer to all decisions, whilst being the exception to rational thinking.
It is this paradox of love, and how it inspires so much of life and living – loudly or subtly – which has made it the muse of my solo exhibition.
This photography-based exhibition will be a glimpse into my meaning of love through my (very much naive) lens and lived experiences from my early 20s.
From the unrivalled love found in my friendships, to the pursuit of discovering what you love, to the quiet love nestled within normality.
I’m awfully excited to share with you this little passion project, and my work in capturing and celebrating the multitudes of love beyond its romantic realm.
With love,
Vea
