FIVE ELEMENTS QIGONG + SOUND
Monday | 7:00am–8:00am
Alexandra, VIC
$30 per class | Maximum 5 people
Start the morning with movement, breath and a little bit of quiet.
Qigong is a traditional Chinese practice that combines slow, intentional movement, breathing and meditation. You don’t need any previous experience or a particular level of fitness — the movements can be adapted and I’ll guide you through the practice.
My classes are based around the Five Elements — Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal and Water.
Across the practice we’ll explore movements connected with each element, while also learning a little about the ideas and philosophy behind Qigong.
WHAT TO EXPECT
We’ll begin by arriving into the body with breathing and gentle movement before moving into our Qigong practice.
Each class will have a particular focus, so you can come casually or continue coming along and build on the practice over time.
We’ll finish by slowing everything down with meditation and live singing bowls.
And if the weather is nice, there’ll be tea in the garden afterwards for anyone who would like to stay.
WHAT TO BRING
Wear loose, comfortable clothes you can easily move in. Natural fibres are lovely if you have them, but certainly not essential.
You’re also welcome to bring a small crystal, object or totem that has some meaning to you and place it in the space during our practice.
BEGINNERS ARE VERY WELCOME.
Classes are intentionally small, with a maximum of five people, so there is plenty of space to learn and ask questions.
The class is held at my home in Alexandra. The exact address and arrival information will be provided after booking.
