Try your hand at conserving and learn about inpainting and paper tear repairs. Conservators from the Robert Cripps Institute of Cultural Conservation will demonstrate how to repair damaged artwork.
Paper tear repairs in conservation, is the process of aligning and bridging torn paper fibres using specialized Japanese paper and reversible archival adhesives. We repair tears in paper to restore physical strength so that fragile items can be safely handled or exhibited, and to limit the possibility of further damage occurring.
Do you have the skill needed to become a future conservator?
