Gate opens 6.45pm, session starts at 7pm in the Arch Studio.
Our bodies are evolved to cocreate and coregulate. In modern hyper-individualist societies, there's rarely space for our bodies to feel safe to move intuitively, make sound freely and be playful among others. So we often end up living in a constant state of suppression. We start to forget how to be silly, playful, intuitive and authentic, living in touch with our body’s truth. It makes us feel alienated, lost and isolated.
We lose our joy and the only joy we are left to find is in consuming products and services, in exchange of our time engaged in a dissociated state with our body. This pattern puts us further into a vortex of consumerism, coping mechanisms, dysregulation and disconnection both as a person and as a society.
These sessions are an invitation to explore our senses, intuition, authentic expression and collaboration. No singing skills or experience required. We go through some playful movement, breathing, body and vocal warm ups, melodies and we end the session with open-hearted group vocalisation. All the prompts are an invitation to explore, respecting our physical and emotional capacity.
Come join with your voice to create a warm soundscape together. Feel free to bring friends, loved ones and let’s sing together. Wear something comfortable to move freely.
