Sally Cameron and Sam Leske are 'While The Kettle Boils'

What happens when an ARIA award-winning internationally renowned vocalist takes some time to become a mother to three beautiful kids? She works with what she knows best: late nights, little sleep and never-ending costume changes. Trading lashes for lullabies, sequins for sudocream and ball gowns for baby gates.

And where does she find time to sing? While the kettle boils.

In her new show, Sally Cameron presents a selection of songs she’s collected over her career as a world-travelling soprano, best known for her work with a cappella group, The Idea of North. Alongside husband and in-demand guitarist Sam Leske, she’ll explore the songs that have always mattered from artists she admires, across a range of genres from jazz, folk, pop and theatre classics: the songs she loves to sing.

Sam Leske is an Australian freelance guitarist, producer and arranger. He has worked nationally and internationally, performing with a diverse range of artists such as Shoshana Bean, Casey Donovan, Hugh Sheridan, Electric Fields, Jemma Rix, Peter Combe, Bob Downe and many more. Sam keeps a busy schedule as a versatile and in-demand studio session guitarist, recording and producing music for artists & composers (tv, game, film) and working in musical theatre and for symphony orchestras.
