SPYRAL | Melbourne Jazz Trio – Sydney Tour

Join Melbourne contemporary jazz trio SPYRAL for an evening of original music and inventive improvisation as part of their debut Sydney tour.

Featuring Tristan Meffre (saxophones), Charlie Rank (double bass), and Alfie Pleasance (drums), SPYRAL draws inspiration from the exploratory music of Wayne Shorter, Joe Henderson, and the chordless tradition carried forward by artists such as the Joe Lovano Trio and New Jazz Underground.

The trio performs a dynamic blend of original compositions by all three members alongside carefully selected lesser-known jazz standards. With a focus on collective interaction, melodic improvisation, and musical conversation, each performance unfolds differently, balancing composition with the freedom of the moment.

Following recent performances across Melbourne, SPYRAL is excited to bring its music to Sydney for the first time. Don't miss the opportunity to hear one of Melbourne's emerging contemporary jazz groups in the intimate setting of Church Street Studios.
