Bristol folk trio The Longest Johns bring material from their studio album Ends of the Earth, alongside their blend of harmonies, maritime folklore, traditional sea shanties and work songs, and contemporary songwriting. JD Darley, Andy Yates and Robbie Sattin perform a narrative-driven programme shaped by exploration, resilience and the pull toward the unknown. The group formed in Bristol in 2012 around traditional maritime folk music, humour and digital culture; their version of “Wellerman” went viral in 2021 and helped spark a wider sea-shanty revival.
