In so many ways we begin with a breath. Be it our first breath on this earth or the breath we take before embarking on the next big thing. Or small thing. Our breath is a tool- a friend. A consistent companion that can help us ground, energise, transmute and liberate. Particularly when met with presence.
This workshop invites you to explore the experience of your body through the use of breath, sound and movement.
Using traditional pranayama you will be invited to play with, and practice a series of breath techniques. You will be guided to witness your bodily experience through intuitive movement and yoga asana. You will then have the opportunity to discover the bodies more subtle energetics as you move into a more surrendered practice with conscious connected breathwork.
This somatic breathwork technique uses connected circular, rhythmic breathing to shut down the thinking mind and journey into the subconscious. This breath allows us to move beyond logic and access deep emotions and incomplete stress cycles in the body.
This cyclical style of breathing has the potential to unlock feelings, stories and emotions which may result in a physical and/or emotional release. The invitation is to be in the body, to feel, to return to the breath and to be present with what is.
The intention is that you will leave grounded, nourished and open. Ready to begin.
