OPM Friends - Groovin' in Sydney

(Ticket enquiries: Nanette - 0400117687)

For 40 years, OPM gave us the songs we still know by heart. Now the OPM Friends are bringing them to Sydney.

Groovin' Down Under is a celebration of timeless hits, performed live by the artists who made them: the ballads, the cover classics, all the ones you can't help singing back.

And what a lineup. You'll hear the voices behind the songs you grew up on, from Celeste Legaspi, the voice of "Mamang Sorbetero," and Leah Navarro's "Isang Mundo, Isang Awit", to the stage pedigree of Mitch Valdes, who founded the OPM organisation in 1986, and musical theatre favourite Pinky Marquez. Expect as much laughter as music, with comedienne Nanette Inventor - the voice of "Salamat, Salamat Musika", the powerhouse covers of Ding Mercado, the Manila Sound of Circus Band's Pat Castillo, and the classical talent of Aliw Award winner Bo Cerrudo. Eight legends, one stage.

If you grew up on these songs, this one's for you. Bring the family, the titos and titas, and your singing voice.
