Tauranga, are you ready for something EPIC this Halloween?

We’re bringing the community an indoor Halloween party like no other!

Think spooky rave vibes, awesome lighting, smoke effects, a DJ, roaming entertainers, costume catwalk, competitions, photo booth and photo area, plus creepy (and not-so-creepy!) Halloween decorations and so much more!

This is a safe, fun, family-friendly and inclusive alternative to Trick or Treating, with something for everyone. Whether you’ve got toddlers, teens, or you’re coming dressed up yourself, all ages are welcome to join the fun.

Saturday 31st October

Mount Sports Centre

Main Event: 6pm – 8pm

INCLUSIVE & ACCESSIBLE

This is an inclusive community event and we warmly welcome people of all abilities and disabilities.

The venue has wheelchair access, and a wheelchair can access the bathroom/sports changing room area. However, please be aware that the toilet cubicle itself may not provide sufficient space for a wheelchair user to comfortably position themselves for an easy transfer. If you have a specific toileting or accessibility requirements, we encourage you to get in touch with us before the event. We're happy to talk through the facilities with you in more detail and help you work out whether they will be suitable for your individual needs. A first aider will also be on site to help ensure everyone has a safe and enjoyable experience.

HALLOWEEN COSTUMES

Halloween costumes are encouraged, but please keep them family-friendly and suitable for all ages.

No super scary, gory or terrifying costumes please. We want everyone, especially our younger guests, to feel comfortable, have fun and enjoy Halloween without being frightened.

LOW SENSORY SESSION

We’re also offering a Low Sensory Session from 4.30pm – 5.30pm, making our Halloween Disco accessible to as many people as possible.

This session is designed for people with disabilities, sensory sensitivities, autism, anxiety, or anyone who may benefit from a quieter and less crowded environment.

During the session:

Music volume will be reduced

Lighting effects will be limited

Attendees can enjoy the decorations and activities at their own pace

A dedicated breakout space will be available if you need some time away from the main event

Our breakout tent will include bean bags, earmuffs, fidgets and calm lighting, providing a calm place to take a break if things become a little overwhelming.

WANT TO ATTEND BOTH SESSIONS?

If you’re attending the Low Sensory Session and would also like to stay for the Main Event, you’ll need to purchase a $15 Dual Pass.

The Dual Pass includes entry for one attendee and their support person to both the Low Sensory Session and the Main Event.

We want everyone to be able to enjoy Halloween in a way that works for them, whether that means taking things at your own pace during our Low Sensory Session, dancing the night away at the Main Event, or enjoying both!

ALCOHOL FREE EVENT!

Tauranga's Monster Mash Disco is a completely free alcohol free event.

No alcohol is permitted to be brought into or consumed at the event or in the carpark. Anyone who arrives intoxicated, or becomes intoxicated during the event will be refused entry or asked to leave.
