Fontaines D.C. play Adelaide with special guests Gurriers. The five-piece—Grian Chatten, Carlos O’Connell, Conor Curley, Conor Deegan and Tom Coll—are touring around their fifth album, Dopamine Chamber, produced by James Ford and released through XL Recordings / Remote Control Records. Its lead single is “Marianne”.
The album follows 2024’s Romance and moves away from the guitar-centred language of the group’s earlier records, exploring balladry and anthemic melodies amid an examination of pleasure, peril and altered states. It was recorded between London, the English countryside and Palermo, with Chatten’s vocals made in a makeshift mattress-and-cushion booth.
