The Hupstein Eng Trio presents an afternoon of classic vocal jazz at The Thistle Inn, inspired by Frank Sinatra, Nat King Cole, and Chet Baker. Featuring Hupstein Eng on vocals and guitar, Freddy Sayer on piano, and Jacob Meikle on double bass, the trio brings a warm, intimate sound to swinging standards, bossa novas, ballads, and favourites from the Great American Songbook. With bouncy swing, playful interaction, and tasteful improvisation, the trio offers a relaxed afternoon of timeless jazz at one of Wellington's cosiest historic venues.
