Spring invites us to grow.
In Traditional Chinese Medicine, Spring is associated with the Wood element — connected to growth, direction, vision and our ability to adapt when things don’t go quite as planned.
Like a young tree, we need strong roots to support our growth, but also enough flexibility to bend when the winds change. Wood reminds us that having a clear direction doesn’t mean we need to rigidly hold onto the path. And just as trees thrive as part of a forest, we don’t grow in isolation. Connection, support, giving and receiving are all part of how we grow.
This 2-hour workshop is an invitation to explore these qualities through movement, touch and connection — finding our own ground while also experiencing what becomes possible when we move, connect and support one another.
We'll begin with solo yoga, exploring our foundations, creating space in the body and moving with focused attention. From there, we'll move into partner yoga and connection exercises, exploring adaptability, trust, support and play.
Together, we'll then experience the art of Zenthai Shiatsu through a simple guided bodywork sequence. Through mindful touch, gentle stretches and flowing movement, we'll explore the experience of both giving and receiving support. Drawing on Traditional Chinese Medicine, Zen Shiatsu and Thai massage, Zenthai Shiatsu offers a beautiful way to connect, listen and care for one another.
No experience is necessary. Come on your own or with a friend - all partner practices will be guided with care so everyone feels comfortable and supported.
We are looking forward to welcoming you to the space and flow together.
