Gawler Libraries is proud be working with the PACE Festival to welcome author Kate Legge as she celebrates her latest release, Delicious.

Friendship, food, and family are the bones of life’s broth according to Kate's new memoir, Delicious, which tells stories of people, places, and passages of time through culinary connections.

A three tiered carrot cake left on the stoop in Capitol Hill; the pasta sauce we cooked in student digs; standing beside our mother or grandmother or father in the kitchen.

Food colors our experience of life. Memories of sharing a table or a meal add layers of meaning to how and what we consume. The dishes we serve, the tastes we remember, footnote our time on earth.

In exploring these themes Kate will also touch on the craft of storytelling and memoir writing, skills honed during 40 years a as journalist and author of five books.
