SOFTEN & BREATHE | An Afternoon of Restorative Yoga & Breathwork

Sun 8 Nov 5pm - 6:30pm

Freshwater Wellness Centre, Sydney

Soften & Breathe is a 90-minute nervous system reset combining gentle restorative yoga and guided breathwork.

This session is an invitation to slow down and close out your weekend feeling calm, grounded and restored. Through supported stillness and intentional breath, you'll give your body the space to release the tension of the week and settle into a deeper state of rest.

We'll begin with a gentle, floor-based restorative yoga practice. Poses are held for longer and fully supported with props, so your body can soften and open without effort. This isn't about stretching or pushing. It's about letting go, and preparing the body to breathe more freely.

From there, we move into a guided breathwork practice that weaves slow, calming breathing with short rounds of faster breathing. The faster rounds gently energise the body, and the slow breathing that follows helps the nervous system settle into a deeper state of calm. You'll be guided through every step, and you're always free to take it at your own pace.

New to breathwork?

Breathwork is the practice of consciously changing the pace and rhythm of your breath to shift how your body and mind feel. During the faster rounds, you might notice tingling in your hands or face, lightheadedness or warmth. These sensations are normal and ease quickly once the breath slows down. You're always in control, and you can return to your natural breath at any time.

The session ends with rest and integration, so you leave feeling clear and grounded, with plenty of time for a relaxed Sunday dinner afterwards.

No prior experience in yoga or breathwork is needed, and everyone is welcome.

Spaces are limited to keep the group small and supportive.

This session is for you if...
