Journey into Sound - Relaxing Restorative Sound Bath

Sun 20 Sep 4pm - 5pm

DKB HALL - Dickson, Canberra

Join Angie from Piniri Wellbeing, Liz from Reson8 Retreats and guest players for a gentle, immersive sound bath designed to calm the mind, relax the body, support the nervous system and invite deep rest.

We all find different ways to recharge, but how often do we give ourselves space to simply rest?

Not exercise.

Not socialise.

Not achieve.

Not care for someone else.

This is why we created fortnightly sound journeys - a space to pause, breathe, receive, and be held by the sounds. Because when we put our own oxygen mask on first and reset, we have more capacity for our loved ones.

Using crystal singing bowls, chimes, Tibetan bowls, drums and rattles, this heart-centred and intuitive sound journey offers a restorative pause from the busyness of everyday life; a space to support your nervous system, settle inward and reconnect with yourself.

No experience is necessary, just come as you are, get comfortable and allow yourself to receive.

About your hosts

Angie Liu, Piniri Wellbeing

Angie teaches women's qigong classes in Canberra, and offers seasonal retreats, and Five Elements wellness guidance. Her work is grounded in nervous system regulation and gentle, self-guided healing, helping people move from depletion into a place of calm.

Elizabeth Cotterell, Reson8 Retreats

Liz offers soul-led small group retreats, sound baths, and 1:1 multidimensional energy work. Drawing on Reiki, sound, and intuitive guidance, she creates space for people to reconnect to their mind, body, and spirit.

This collaboration provides restorative sound journeys for the inner north Canberra community in a beautiful, calming space.

Hosted at DKB Hall in Dickson (next to Cafe Stepping Stone), the modern, climate-controlled venue is spacious and central with easy parking, and its high ceilings and glass walls open onto views of the community garden on one side and established trees on the other.

Please wear comfy clothing and bring:

A yoga mat or similar to lie on

A blanket

A pillow and/or bolster

An eye pillow

A water bottle

We recommend drinking plenty of water both before and after your sound bath, as the deep relaxation can be dehydrating and many people find good hydration helps them feel more grounded afterwards.

Doors open 15 minutes before the session and close at 3:55pm. Please arrive 10–15 minutes before the session starts so you have time to use the bathroom, settle into the space, and get comfortable. We ask that you switch your phone off, or set it to airplane mode, before the sound bath begins so the whole group can fully unwind.

Important — doors close at 3:55pm

Out of respect for the rest of the group, doors will close at 3:55pm and late arrivals will not be admitted. No refunds will be issued for late arrivals or no-shows, so please plan to arrive with time to spare.

Sound healing is generally a gentle and relaxing experience, but it isn't suitable for everyone.

If you have epilepsy or are sensitive to sound, are pregnant, have a pacemaker or other implanted medical device, or have a serious cardiac or mental health condition, we recommend you reconsider attending or speak with your doctor before booking.

By attending, you acknowledge that you take part at your own risk, and that Piniri Wellbeing and Reson8 Retreats are not responsible for any adverse effects experienced during or after the session.

Please reach out if you have any questions, we're happy to answer them!
