After a two-year gestation on the Mornington Peninsula, Friars Tuck are preparing for

their first ever trip to the big smoke. The six-piece are loading up the van for a free

arvo double header with Ninch comrades Girl Kitchen at the Last Chance on Sunday

8 November.

The Friars are riding high following the recent release of debut single/community

radio fave Plastic Brain. An imperfectly human anthem for these artificial times, it’s

the first taste of their forthcoming EP, Nature Seems Cruel, out next month.

Girl Kitchen are a young and raw five-piece Australiana punk rock band from Rye.

Emerging late last year, the band’s gigs are full of energy and flair. Girl Kitchen are

fresh from playing the recent sold-out Rocktober party in Capel Sound alongside

punk powerhouse Public House and Sargent Baker.
