Mindful Sashiko Stitching Workshop

Step into a moment of slow living and mindful creativity.

In a heart of Melbourne CBD, slow down and discover the beauty of Sashiko - a traditional Japanese hand-stitching technique originated from the Edo-period.

In this relaxed two-hour beginner-friendly workshop, you'll learn the foundations of Sashiko stitching while creating your own beautiful fabric coaster to take home.

You'll be guided step by step from transferring a traditional pattern onto the fabric to assembling your coaster and finishing it with handmade tassels.

No sewing experience is needed, and all materials are provided.

This is an intimate, small-group workshop limited to a maximum of 8 participants, so you'll have plenty of individual guidance and support throughout the class.

Inspired by Japanese craftsmanship and a slow, sustainable approach to making.

This workshop is an opportunity to step away from fast-paced world, reconnect with your creativity and experience the quiet satisfaction of creating something with your own hands.
