This course offers the best understanding on fundamental operation, which leads to the basics and safety.

Content

In koitoya, we love router work, use frequently in our work and we are also particularly good at teaching the basic safety of router work.

People who want to gain confidence in router work, please come and join this course! We have exceptionally effective ways to understand router safety. It is about understanding "Climb cut", "Conventional cut". Also, it is about applying this to various situation, which becomes tricky.

Our lecture will focus on fundamental operation using our handmade textbook, simplified but also applies to every case.

The class will run with lectures, demonstrations, and hands-on experience. We will show case different type of router work using examples from our day-to-day work, so that you can gain some inspiration to your work, too!

Graduated from ANU School of Art, Furniture

Clare has been an active artist exhibiting their own work occasionally.

Clare has been working full-time with Hiroshi since 2016.

Clare has returned from Japan where they stayed at Japanese woodworkers to development their skills 2023 April - September.

Parking

Please park your car in the public parking area along Maryborough Street (Free), opposite J Racing.

We have two parking spots officially. Please contact me for a spot if you need to walk less for a health condition.

Way to the workshop

18 Maryborough Street is a battle-axe block, located inside of the block, so you will be walking along the driveway that leads to the block from Maryborough Street.

The driveway has 2 access points, one next to Aqua Safe Water Filters, and one next to J Racing.

Unit 4 is a blue Colourbond building on the right-hand side of the block (SE end).

Things to bring

Please wear work shoes.

Bring your own water bottle and lunch.
