The concert celebrates 20 years of the Christchurch Big Band Jazz Festival. Its first half features Symposium Big Band, directed by Alex van den Broek. Formed in 2007, the ensemble brings together professional performers, jazz educators and leading Ōtautahi players. The second half features the All Girl Big Band performing swinging classics and contemporary favourites. Swingtown Rebels and jazz vocalist Erna Ferry appear as special guests.
