Our market is a place for anyone who wants to to sell, swap, downsize or just give things away you no longer need. We also accept stall holders who want to sell handmade upcycled items.

The Grey Lynn Car Boot Market runs on the last Sunday of the Month.

The market is for second hand items only – no new stuff as we think there is already enough stuff on our planet. We like to keep the prices affordable so items will get reused. Our aim is to move stuff on to somebody who will appreciate the item and save it from landfill.

Selling at the Grey Lynn Car Boot Market

Our monthly market is an alternative to running your own garage sale, no advertising necessary (we take care of that), no need for the hassles with Facebook Marketplace and Trade Me.

You can sell from a table or from the ground (bring a mat, bring a table, bring a way to hang and display clothes).

The car park is not covered. We make a decision the night before if the market will run or not due to the weather. If we cancel we move your booking to the next month.

You drive in to drop off your items for sale and then we'll direct you to a car park behind the Grey Lynn RSC to store your car. Even though we are called a Car Boot market the space is too small to for everybody to sell from their cars.

Set up from 6.30 am. The market gets going around 8.00 am for shoppers and finishes around 11.30 am. There is no need to get to the market earlier as your space is reserved if you pay in advance.

One space is $30 - the spaces are as big as a car.

We need to know how many people have booked as we have limited space.

Booking a Spot to Sell

To be sure you get a space please PRE BOOK or your spot. If you just turn up on the morning to sell you are not guaranteed a space.
