In the 1984 movie GREMLINS, a young man receives a cute, exotic pet called a Mogwai named Gizmo. He is given three strict rules for his new companion: keep him out of bright light, never get him wet, and never—ever—feed him after midnight!

The rules are inevitably broken, leading to a disastrous chain of events which unleashes a horde of malevolently mischievous creatures on a small town.
