🖼️ Join us for a practical and confidence-boosting Home DIY Essentials workshop! 🔨
In this hands-on session, learn the simple skills you need to hang frames, shelves, and wall décor safely, securely, and straight. We’ll cover how to choose the right fixings for different wall types, measure and mark accurately, use basic tools like a hammer, spirit level and four types of drill, and avoid common mistakes that lead to crooked frames or damaged walls.
Whether you’ve never picked up a drill before or just want to stop relying on guesswork, this beginner-friendly workshop will help you build DIY confidence. You’ll get plenty of time to practice drilling holes and installing fixings so your piece hangs perfectly level.
Bring along a small frame if you’d like to practice with your own piece, or use one of ours - we’ll provide the tools, materials, and guidance you need.
About your facilitator
Maddie has always had an itch to create and build. She’s studied architecture and worked behind the scenes in construction, but finds the most joy with tools in her hands and a pencil in her hair, bringing ideas to life.
It doesn’t always go to plan, but the lessons from those missteps have proved the most valuable.
In this workshop, she strips things back to basics, sharing the practical know-how and confidence that make all the difference. You might come to learn how to hang a frame, but you’ll leave with the skills to tackle so much more.
