REVISITING EVA CASSIDY at THE CHAPEL, Queensclliff
Following critical acclaim in both Melbourne and Geelong, Revisiting Eva Cassidy with Julie Walter comes to The Chapel, Uniting Queenscliff - one of the few functioning churches in Australia that also operates as a live music venue - for one show only on the Bellarine Peninsula.
Sunday 8 November · 2pm
Comprising a 5 piece band band of notable Australian touring musicians, Revisiting Eva Cassidy is neither an imitation nor impersonation. It is an authentic return to the songs, performed completely live, that continue to comfort, heal and accompany us through life’s celebrations, losses and ordinary moments alike.
Eva Cassidy’s extraordinary interpretations of songs such as Fields of Gold, Over the Rainbow, Songbird, People Get Ready and Autumn Leaves have woven themselves into the fabric of our lives - becoming part of how we remember love, loss, heartbreak, and the ordinary moments in between.
Now, 30 years on from the release of the remarkable Live at Blues Alley, and with Eva’s death only months later, we invite you to join us for a relaxed, intimate and deeply connective Sunday matinee.
In this beautiful and unusual venue, we’ll revisit some of those moments together, through the songs of an artist whose voice and interpretations have stayed with so many of us in remarkable ways.
