Christmas in Wellington has its own character. Long evenings, pōhutukawa in bloom, the end of the working year in sight, and the anticipation of a well-earned summer break with whānau and friends.

The Bach Choir of Wellington invites you to mark the season with an afternoon of festive Christmas music. You can expect the brilliance of voices and exciting programme that reflects quiet moments of wonder and all the energy and colour of Christmas.

The concert begins with Daniel Pinkham’s Christmas Cantata, drawing on medieval and Renaissance musical motifs full of rhythmic vitality. The music moves from sparkling excitement, through moments of mystery, before culminating in an exuberant “Gloria in excelsis Deo”!

Bring your singing voice! Alongside the choir and the brass band, you will be invited to join in a selection of our favourite carols, filling the church with Christmas cheer.
