An Exhibition of Embroidery, Story and Survival

This exhibition showcases embroideries created by Afghan women living under a gender apartheid imposed by the Taliban. Each piece reflects cultural heritage, resilience and hope - preserving traditional techniques while providing vital income and independence.

Every embroidery sold supports an Afghan woman to earn an income and support her family, sustain her craft, and share her silenced voice with the world.

Special Talk with Mursal Azizi

Founder, Hoori Handmade

Mursal will share the story behind Hoori Handmade, the women behind the embroideries, how the project began, and how they support artisans to earn an income through their work.
