Fitting In: Karangahape GGebi

A site-specific trail through Myers Park and Karangahape Road, channelling otherworldly beings and urban spirits!

Contemporary dancers and community performers activate the city through movement, costume and sculptural headpieces, inspired by the new public artwork BTM (DoGGeBi) by Sunghwan Park.

In Korean folklore, DoGGeBi (goblins) are mischievous, shapeshifting nature spirits born from old, everyday objects who interact with humans in a playful, mischievous way. Follow the performers as familiar surroundings become an unfolding landscape of DoGGeBi characters.

And on Saturday 3rd Oct, join Yunha Jang in Ephemeral: A One-Day Performance Lab — a workshop to experiment, collaborate, and create a series of short performances using movement, sound, light, text and visual art.
