A Different Perspective on Point of View

Do you want to understand different points of view and explore their effect on fiction? Would you like to experiment with interesting perspectives like first-person plural?

This is your chance to experiment with perspective and point of view in fiction with KSP Fellow Katie Pope.

In this workshop, you will:

Learn how different POVs are used in fiction

Explore the effect of first-person plural on narratives

Practise writing from different points of view

Develop a toolkit to approach perspective in your own writing

About the Facilitator:

Katie Pope is a writer of fiction and poetry from Boorloo/Perth, Western Australia. Her work often features speculative elements and experimental forms. She is studying a Master of Arts (Creative Writing) at Curtin University. Her creative work has been published locally and nationally, including in TEXT, The Suburban Review, The Little Journal and Witcraft. In 2025, Katie appeared as a storyteller at the Perth Festival.
