Matcha and Ceramic Painting Workshop Hobart

Sat 26 Sep 12pm - 2pm

Fern Tree Community Hall, Hobart

Join us for a relaxed Matcha & Ceramic Painting Workshop where you’ll learn how to prepare matcha and design your own ceramic mug or matcha bowl in a cozy indoor setting.

Perfect for a slow weekend activity, a couple’s date, a catch-up with friends, or a peaceful solo morning.

📅 Dates & Locations

Choose your preferred date:

🧡 15 Aug — Moonah Arts Centre

🧡 5 Sept & 26 Sept — Fern Tree Community Centre

Duration: 2 hours

What you’ll experience:

We’ll begin with a gentle matcha experience — a chance to slow down, taste different styles of matcha, and learn a little about where matcha comes from and why it has been loved for centuries.

You’ll choose your own matcha drink to enjoy, and for anyone who’d like to try, we’ll guide you through the simple art of whisking and pouring.

In the second part, you’ll paint your own ceramic piece — choose between a mug or a matcha bowl and create your own design using beautiful colours and simple techniques.

You can sketch your design first, then bring it to life with guided support.

No experience needed.

This workshop is completely beginner-friendly — we’ll guide you through each step. This workshop is all about slowing down, creating something personal, and enjoying the process.
