A seasonal gathering to sit with grief in community, as we emerge into the light of Spring.
Our ritual circle's are a space for honouring the losses we journey through in our lives.
Together we honour the interconnectedness of life and death and hold space for community and ritual practices to support us through the journey of grief.
Grief is a natural response to life, loss, change, endings, love, and the ongoing intelligence of living in a changing world. Yet so often we are left to carry it privately, in our culture that has grown to fear and avoid emotions like sadness, anger, fear and emptiness.
In this space we come together to hold space for these feelings and to remember our shared humanity. We remember together that all who love, must also grieve and that we are never alone in this experience of our humanity.
This circle is a return to the ancient practice of communal grieving. A space where grief can move in the presence of others, without needing to be fixed or explained.
Together we slow down and gather in a held space to be with what is here both individually and collectively.
This may include grief that is fresh, long-held, unnamed, or connected to the wider more-than-human world.
The circle is gently facilitated and includes simple somatic grounding, guided presence, and structured sharing. There is always choice in participation and speaking is not required.
This is not therapy, and it is not about problem-solving grief. It is about remembering that grief is not meant to be held alone.
In this space, we practice being with what is real, together.
This circle is held by Aislinn Miles.
Aislinn is a somatic movement facilitator, yoga and meditation teacher, and trained end-of-life doula.
Her work is shaped by experience in the funeral industry, where she witnessed the deep need for spaces that allow grief, death, and transition to be met with care, ritual, and presence rather than avoidance.
She has also facilitated grief rituals and deep ecology immersions, including work alongside environmental educator John Seed, which continues to inform her understanding of grief as both personal and ecological.
Within our circle
You will be guided through a softly held 2-hour process that includes:
Arrival and grounding into the space
Gentle somatic and breath-based practices to support presence
Guided reflection and attunement
A ritual sharing and reflection process
Witnessing and listening without interruption or response
Closing integration and return
There is no requirement to speak or share personal story. Silence is also welcome and respected.
This space is for
Those feeling grief, loss, or emotional heaviness
Those moving through life transitions or endings
Those who feel disconnected from communal support around grief
Those who are curious about being with emotion in a somatic, supported way
Those who feel called to slower, relational, ritual-based spaces
This space is not for
Therapy or mental health treatment
Crisis support or acute psychological distress
Advice-giving or problem-solving others’ experiences
Interrupting, fixing, or analysing others’ sharing
High-intensity processing work
If you are currently in acute distress, you may find one-to-one therapeutic or crisis support more appropriate than a group circle.
This space is held with care, structure, and clear boundaries so that grief can be met safely and respectfully in community.
The circle is not about fixing grief, but about remembering how to be with it.
This is a space for authenticity, truth and community.
Tickets are $45 per person. If cost is a barrier, please reach out.
A Pay It Forward ticket is also available for those who wish to contribute towards supporting someone else’s attendance.
