🌿 Spring Raga & Tea Series
Where Sound Meets Stillness & Prāṇa Meets Qi
Spring Raga & Tea is an invitation into one of those rare moments, where music, tea and nature gently restore the rhythm within.
Join internationally respected musician Shivam Rath and Iya Omi Tola for a unique seasonal gathering where the ancient traditions of Indian Raga and Chinese Gōngfū Tea come together in an atmosphere of beauty, presence and connection. Held at Ecoasis Mami Wata at the foothills of Wollumbin, in the Temple Garden Tea House, positioned on the Songline Grid and facing true north towards the majestic Mt Wollumbin.
Our host, Iya Omi Tola, Serving tea in ceremony since 2009, Iya Omi Tola honours a traditional Chinese tea lineage, where tea is offered not as a performance, but as a quiet practice of harmonisation, presence and authentic human connection. Drawing upon years of study and practice, she will guide a traditional Gōngfū Tea Ceremony, sharing carefully selected seasonal teas with mindfulness, warmth and grace.
Throughout the afternoon, Shivam Rath will perform the evocative sounds of the Crystal Slide (Chaturangi) through traditional Indian Spring Ragas attuned to the surrounding nature both meditative instrumental music and also at times inviting participants into gentle call-and-response singing and simple vocal practices inspired by the ancient Indian Classical system of Raga. No musical experience is required
—only a willingness to either sing, listen, breathe and explore.

As tea is poured and ragas unfold, these two ancient traditions reveal a shared language. One is tasted, the other heard; both invite us into the same quiet place of presence, where sound meets stillness and Prāṇa meets Qi. Whether you come for the music, the tea, the beauty of the mountains or simply the opportunity to pause, you are warmly welcomed into this shared celebration of spring, community and mindful presence.
Whether you are drawn by the music, the tea, the beauty of nature or a desire to reconnect with yourself and community, you are warmly welcomed into this shared seasonal celebration.
